A Guide for Performing CB Test Connections Using the Instrument Module
The Instrument Module is designed as a user interface. The power of these modules is the same as the device, with the difference that with a single connection, you can perform all relevant tests in a shorter time and with significantly lower connection error rates.
First, install the Base module on the front panel of the device so that the male pins of the Base module fit into the shown section.
Then, install three batteries with the specifications of Lithium-ion 18650, 4.2 volts, 2000 mAh, from right to left as shown. Place the relevant module, which in this test is the CT module, on the Base module. Tighten the three screws of the transformer module and then turn on the module. You will see 4 sections indicating the battery charge percentage, where each section represents 25% battery charge.
Also, when connecting the battery charger to the module, the corresponding section will start flashing according to the battery charge percentage. When the battery is fully charged, all sections will start flashing.
Warning: Do not use the module for tests while the batteries are charging. The reason for using batteries on the module is to isolate the module's power supply from the device's power supply and to eliminate noise.
A few important points to note:
1. The optical sensor of the Base module must be completely aligned with the device's Error light.
2. The first time the batteries are installed on the module, even if they are fully charged, you need to connect the charger to the module once due to the defined protection to turn the module on.
Now, to perform calibration, enter the Settings window from the software's start page, click on Apply Calibration Instrument in the Hardware tab, and after 5 seconds, the calibration will be completed.
Enter the Transformer Room, set the Device Type to 205AMT, and in the Accessories section, set the Version Mode Easy to CB _205_ Ver 01.
Note that module calibration is only necessary once and should only be performed again if the device or the Base module has been replaced.
For connection, if using the device's internal power supply: connect the Close output of the module to the Close coil of the switch, Open to the Open coil, and Com to the common part of the Open and Close coils of the switch.
Additionally, for connecting the switch contacts to its test module, you will need two sets of six voltage and current cables. Each switch contact must have one voltage wire and one current wire connected to the module. For example, from contact L1of the switch, connect one voltage wire named L1 and one current wire named IL1 to the module, and similarly, from contact L1N of the switch, connect the voltage wire L1N and the current wire I L1N to the module. The same connection applies to other contacts.
On the switch test module, the M+, SH+, and SH- outputs are also used according to the existing connections in the Current Motor test.
