⚡ Continuous Ramp Capability — AMT 205

Precision in relay and equipment testing often depends on how smoothly and accurately a signal can be applied.
With AMT 205, you can perform Continuous Ramp tests, allowing the output signal to increase smoothly and continuously. This capability enables engineers to perform several critical tests with higher precision and safer test conditions.

Some key applications include:

• Accurate Instantaneous Pickup Testing
Continuous ramping allows the pickup point of protection relays to be detected with very high accuracy.

• CT Saturation Testing
During CT saturation tests, the voltage must increase continuously to accurately identify the exact saturation point.

• Safe Energization of Inductive Components
When applying voltage to inductive elements such as transformer windings, applying a large voltage step can cause high inrush currents. Using a continuous ramp allows the voltage to rise gradually, minimizing inrush current and protecting the equipment.

These are just a few examples—Continuous Ramp opens the door to many other advanced testing scenarios.
